Have you ever been sick because you went outside after taking a shower?

My mother always said that when my head is wet or I just took a shower, I can't go outside because I might get sick. As a child, I often listened to this, but when I became an adult, I often neglected this rule, so I got sick several times precisely because of this.

I always shower before going outdoors, especially during summer. I have never been sick due to this. However, in our culture it is prohibited to shower right after coming from outside.
