Has Vbulletin 5 improved any?

I know Vbulletin 5 has been critically panned by everyone. But has it improved? I came across a VB5 forum the other day and tbh, I was impressed by it. I didn't notice many performance issues like people claim it allegedly has and it looked like VB4(which I like) with a more modern feel to it.

But has it improved enough to warrant purchase?

I know a lot of people that use it, but I haven't noticed any improvements. There are a lot of old school forums that use it. I think moderation is easy, but the quality isn't the best.

It doesn't look bad. I think the functionality is decent, but I think there are better alternatives.

They added a couple of new features to it, so for anyone using vBulletin the new version is definitely a must try.
