Being a forum owner is no small feat. It involves managing a community, moderating discussions, handling technical issues, and making decisions that impact the direction of the forum. It's a role that can be both rewarding and challenging, and it's safe to say that it can change you in many ways.

For starters, being a forum owner can teach you a lot about leadership and communication. You'll learn how to interact with different personalities and manage conflicts that may arise. You'll also develop a sense of responsibility towards the community and its members, which can be a humbling experience.

In addition to the interpersonal skills you'll develop, being a forum owner can also change the way you think about technology and online communities. You'll likely gain a deeper understanding of how online platforms work, and you'll become more aware of the potential risks and benefits associated with them. You'll also start to see your community as a microcosm of society, with its own set of social norms and expectations.

Perhaps most importantly, being a forum owner can change the way you view yourself. You'll become more confident in your ability to lead and manage a group of people, and you'll likely feel a sense of pride in the community you've built. At the same time, you'll also become more aware of your own flaws and limitations, as you'll be constantly challenged to improve and adapt.

With this I ask you: Has being a forum owner influenced you?

I think being a forum owner started to open up my personality more to the things I actually wish to endure and built onto the hobbies that I already had. It has influenced me to be better at typography, it has influenced me to be better organized, and it has influenced me on how to take care of certain disputes that can sometimes apply to IRL too.

I used to slack a lot when it comes to reading what I type twice before posting or sending it but using forums have made me change, influenced me in being very cautious when it comes to whatever I'm posting. The kind of pressure I had on VGR where everything damn thing you post is under scrutiny made me sit up because even the slightest typo error will me tackled like it's a grave crime in a mocking way.
