Has anyone tried to hijack your site for nefarious reasons?

I don't have a website but even if I do I have to be careful to avoid all these things because I have heard a lot of people's websites getting hijacked by dubious people and we have to be careful about this to avoid this mistake.
True. That is why it is best to have the best security and a trusted domain host. I think the prevalence of sites being hijacked seem to be low these days.

Well I don't really know but maybe what you are saying is true I don't deal with website so I don't really know much about it. What about you do you have a website because I am also interested to get one in future.

I haven't ever confronted such acts because I have no site that someone will eventually try to hijack it, some like social media accounts it has been hijacked for several times.

Though I don't have a website at the moment, but I do know that it is not a good experience if one's website is hacked. The owner's information will be at risk and there will be no access to the website any more. This is just my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

there are allot of scammers out there, all they do is to scam people,I have ever came across one ,he said he wants my Facebook account, and he wants to hack it ,emagine he is Even telling me ,I won't let him to do that . all you have to do is to be careful , don't fall for those scammers .

This has not happened to me. However, I think there are ways to stop this from happening, you can secure your website, and web host and web hosting control panel management with secured password

Has anyone attempted to hijack/hack your site? Has anyone been able to do it? If so, how did you get your site back? I worry about this sort of thing often. I know there are scammers and bad people out there who will steal from anyone they can. Have you ever had to deal with something like that?
The kind of security firewall that's set up in my company's website is something that's going to take more than 1 months to break down and the attempt on it will be reported immediately.

Yes. Someone attempted to hack my Facebook account just because I refused to sell it for him. He planned on using my account to defraud people, I don't let him to do that.

I don't have a functional sites and as a result, I have not witnessed such thing. I really hope to create a functional website and I plan to do this next year.

Signs of a hackedSigns of a hacked website.

If any of the following sign appears on your site/web page it is an indication that site has been hacked.

  • Your website is redirected to another URL that in most cases is a pornographic website.
  • A google alert appearing on the website which informs that the site has been hacked.
  • Strange looking JavaScript appears in the source code of the site.
  • You find new admin, database and FTP users which were not created by you.
  • Spam advertisements and pop-ups on the website due to malicious codes.
  • The site is no more accessible by Google.
  • Your website has been defaced.
  • Your browsers, Google Chrome or Firefox, give a warning that site is compromised.

The site I had was a free website and I was not really serious with it. In a nutshell, my website isn't functioning and I planned to have a paid website soon.

It is pertinent that professionals handle your website because it is mostly low quality websites that are prone to nefarious and frivolities.

I know I do not have a web site but when I will open mine,I will make sure I make research on the website and name so that I do not copy someone else's own

I don't have any site, but I know of someone who use to do that,I have not been hacked any site, but only social media account, and it has been very long time.

It is important for people to work we trusted and legitimate people online because I have heard a story whereby someone hijacked another person's platforms.
More and more such cases have continuously been reported and we only need to make sure that we take extra caution always, online.

no, I've never had this problem. I don't own a site with rich resources or stuff like that that could be broken for me ... I have a simple site, a blog. I don't think it helps anyone if he hacks me. :)

I don't have a website yet, so no one has ever hack my site I think people only do that for fraudulent activities and to reduce traffic to a site that receives a lot of traffic than theirs.
