Has anyone slandered you and gotten away with it?

Have you ever been slandered by someone and that person ended up getting away with it? I've never been slandered, but I can't imagine it's too fun. Slander is a serious thing, especially if people are spreading lies and misinformation about you. You have a right to defend yourself.
