A Goldman contractor accidentally swapped @gs.com for @gmail.com when sending the email. They wanted Google to delete the email off their server to prevent the privacy breach. Google decided to comply rather than waiting for the court order.

Thoughts?

What was in the email (was it just privacy concerns that made them go to such lengths to get it back?)?
I also think it is "good" that companies out there do exist that can stand up to Google.

That is quite interesting. However isn't this the Goldman contractor's fault in the first place? I do not see why Google should be getting the heat.

I seen this somewhere and just laughed about it xD

I would not describe them as getting the heat. It was the senders fault. He is just asking Google to remove the email from the server. Which Google ultimately did comply without having to settle the entire thing in court.
