I think Go language will be taking over the web based development. And as far as the future of the C and C++ is concerned, I think the Rust is about to replace two of them. I don't see much reason for the C/Cpp being used in near future. But I do see the point of Rust being around in near future. I think we will see where the languages evolve in next few years though.

I have to say Lua and Python language for the future. Lua seems to be pretty good for the gaming and also for the web development. So far I have used the pythong and few other languages like javascript, java and C#. So I think it depends on what the company that hires you for the work of the developer.

Python indeed,, maybe someone will do a new coding language for security programs which will benefit the programmer

Actually all programming languages will always be popular, because we need all of them. Each has its own purpose

The future lies with functional languages. Processors are multi core and immutability bug counts. In terms of concurrency, functional languages are easier to use then non functional ones. In terms of immutability, functional languages are the best .

Python and JavaScript are hot in the startup world. Many startups use Django (Python), Flask (Python), and NodeJS (JavaScript) as their backend frameworks. Python and JavaScript are easy-to-learn and therefore considered the best programming languages to learn for beginners

I believe that Python will persevere into the future since it has the ability to adapt. I actually do not see much future with the C and C++ languages as better languages would definitely pop up. Then there's Go language that is quite flexible so I believe it would thrive. I expect the future to usher in languages that can adapt to different platforms.

A lot of people are too focused on programming language more than the software they want to build. I think that a lot of the programming languages here Re going to be here in the future.
