What's the benefits of one vs the other?
I prefer forums but I can't deny the heavy growth of the facebook group fenomenom.

In terms of marketing and revenue generation, facebook groups are better because you can build a group of thousands of followers on facebook easily. On forums, there is no room for revenue generation and that are also small communities and it is quite impossible to build huge forums

It actually depends on what you're using both of them for. Do you have a business that you want to sell online? Making use of Facebook groups is definitely going to give you better sales from marketing with it unlike forums. When it's all about having a place that you want to engage in discussion, forums will be the best pick.

I'm using forums and Facebook groups, Facebook page and main Facebook too. I cannot use forums for what I need Facebook features for. Facebook gives me access to bigger audience which forums or blog can't offer me.
