Do you ever look at the default help section of your forum software?

It's kind of lame.

But that's because it's generic and just made to help people in general.

How do you feel about creating forum help videos instead?

Videos that specifically show your members how to use your forum.

Are any of you doing this or have you done this?

It is nice to have them. Because there was a time when BB code was rocket science to me.

I've been so used WYSIWYG type editors that a PhpBB forum I joined recently uses BBCode and I had to use a cheat sheet again. LOL.

I think custom videos would be a great idea to make it custom to your forum.

It might increase activity to those who don't know forums, like the younger crowd, I can't believe I said that LOL

There was no WYSIWG when I started. A forum was the same as the ISS to me
