How important do you feel they are? Do you feel premium upgrades are reasonable?

I use WordPress and things are pretty straightforward on my blogs. The updates can be annoying sometimes though as plugins can break and I have to figure the cause by disabling and enabling them one by one to see what is causing the issue. I only tend to have to do this once or twice a year so not a big deal.

Well it all depends on your budget what actually needs as if you are spending money and it is not helping to your website than you are wasting money and may impact on speed of your website so it is always advisable to have useful upgrade.

Yes, i feel premium upgrades on blogs and forums are reasonable. They could help to increase security. If one doesn't have the budget for it, one doesn't have to beat oneself over it.

I have always used free resources to build forums and blogs,. whenever new updates are released, I update my blogs and forums (template and plugin updates), however, I don't usually update to the premium version.
