I am trying to use SSL and https on my phpBB 3.2.2 installation, but somehow it isn't working. Please help!

It doesn't matter if I use "force server URL settings" in the ACP (Server settings), it will still re-direct visitors to the normal and unsecure http connection unless they manually enter the https connection. And activating secure cookies in the ACP (Cookie settings) does nothing.

How do I force a https connection to all visitors on phpBB 3.2.2?

Had you tried with the .htacccess file method by inserting this just above the other rewrite rules?

Code:
# Force HTTPS
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=307,NE,L]
