There are multiple freelance marketplaces where a freelancer can find jobs, however, Fiverr and Upwork are the two most popular options. These are not just random freelancing websites, these are also publicly traded companies. Currently, Upwork stocks are trading for $9.68 on NASDAQ and Fiverr stocks are trading for $25.96 on NYSE. Between these two popular options, which one do you think is better platform for freelancers, especially new freelancers? Well, I believe Upwork is better than Fiverr for newbies. That's because on Upwork you bid on jobs and you can get attention of the employer by offering low big and providing good sales pitch. On Fiverr, you will have to just wait for someone to buy your gig.

I've never really liked how Fiverr offered the services of its users. I agree, you have to wait for someone to pick your gig.
