Favourite Forum Software?

Proboards for free, Xenforo for paid for me personally.

I like Jcink due to being similar to InisionFree/ZetaBoards, which is where I spent most of my teenagehood into my early twenties. For paid software, I'm really liking all these XenForo boards I've been joining lately because there are so many useful features and the overall layout seems top-notch.

I am quite a big fan of WordPress and Proboards. I might have to explore Xenforo as well due to the rave reviews it has received from all quarters, which indicates that it will probably be beneficial,

ProBoards is good but it must be the paid version so that you can be able to move your datebase when you want to switch to another forum software.

My favorites have to be SMF and Jcink. From an admin POV, I prefer SMF because I've used it for so long.

It really depends on whether I am going for free or paid forum software as to which one if my favorite. In terms of paid, vBulletin used to be my favorite but when they released vBulletin 4 I didn't like the changes or the new look. Luckily Xenforo had been released by then and I gave them a try and loved it and that has been my favorite paid forum software since. When it comes to free software MyBB wins hands down. It reminds me of a free vBulletin and I love how clean it looks and how easy it is to use as an admin.
