Favorite Forum Software?

Mine by far is Xenforo and I’m talking about paid and free. There’s just no match for it impo. I hate other paid and free softwares other than Xenforo because it’s completely and totally customizable and I love learning how to code on it. My very own mental wellness community is run on Xenforo.

As a webmaster myself, I love using XenForo. XF is what makes our members want to connect with the family at Bizdustry.& The alert and the quick reply system definitely beats any other forum software. Styling and customization are pain-free too.

XenForo is pretty good. The only thing I hate about it, is the cost for addons goes up quite a bit, if you can't find good or decently made free or cheap ones to use. I know that with quality, price is going to be there for the added support if something goes wrong, but it really does show how much one spends on a forum, if most of the addons being added, are $30 or more, PER addon being purchased for a forum.

I agree, but I’m using just the basic software myself without any add-ons, thence why I’m paying only 87$ CAD a year. The one I’ve paid for a one time about 400$ CAD is the branding removal one for my mental wellness community forum for me personally. It doesn’t cost me anything at all myself to renew it every year.

XF is awesome out of the box. Nonetheless, it's very expensive and a very tech-minded person could make MyBB or some other free software do the same stuff and also look modern and professional. Anyway, it's your choice. I used XF massively, but lately the cost to upgrade etc.. is too much along with my hosting (given my current life situation). In that case, I'm moving toward MyBB.

The best obviously relies upon what your crowd needs a lot. You're best off sorting out what your crowd really will do on your discussion (their objectives), and afterward obviously finding the product that allows them to do that.

Quest the web for a component you totally need that isn't basic + the gathering programming name. It will rapidly give you whether there is a module for it, somebody hasn't found that highlight in the product when it's in or it's just impractical (yet).

Yes I agree with your thoughts about xenforo forum software @Alexander. I think it has the best customization tools, and features that stand it best amongst all other forum software.

A friend always prefers xenforo software due to it's excellent web design and flexibility, it is also extensible and powerful. The user is able to understand the php written language very clearly.
