What is your favorite blogging platform to use?

Back in the day I would use wordpress, but these days I just mostly stick to forum software.

When I was blogging, I used WordPress self hosted. I don't really blog anymore, but my business website is also currently using WordPress as its platform.

I will say WordPress but nowadays it is Blogspot for me as i run a blog powered by it. It meets my needs and no need of a host

WordPress is the obvious choice for myself and most people alike. I don't think WordPress has any major competitors.

WordPress or Medium. Right now I'm working with Medium and for the first time ever, I'm getting paid for my blogs. Not much as of right now but hopefully more in the future.

I have multiple blogs built on wordpress, I like wordpress very much, however, I am also thinking to try other open source platforms like ghosts, hugo or Jykell.

WordPress is the best software for building blogs. I don't have a blog now but whenever I'm ready to start a blog, it's WordPress software I'm going to use. I made use of Xenforo for my forum.

I love using Wordpress. I have wanted to see what my blog would be like on Joomla with a comments system implemented but if I wanted to convert my Wordpress blog to Joomla I would need to pay a bit of $$. That plus the Wordpress editor plugin I use wouldn't convert content properly onto Joomla.

Well, I have created sites on Joomal but never tried to switch between content management systems. I did not know yo would have to pay money to convert your wordpress to Joomla, but what about converting Joomla to wordpress, can you do it without having to pay?

Depending on how much content a site has will depend on the cost generally.

For me I've got 124 posts, 1 user, 531 comments and 0 taxonomies and they want an estimated $315 USD.

It's always been Wordpress for me. I have dabbled with others - such as Joomla - but always come back to WP. It's easy to use, incredibly easy to modify, and just feels good. I couldn't see me ever wanting to use anything else. Something like 39% of all websites are powered by Wordpress.

WordPress got good plug-in and have great features especially for a blogger that is just starting new. You get a lot of features that will make it easier for you to start your journey fast while hoping to learn on it. I highly recommend it too for all newbies.
