You don't just jump into any business else you will crash, and lose your capital. You have to carefully plan the business, and first of all you have to really check if the product you want to sell is a marketable product. Check for the availability of the product, and if you are producing, check for the availability of the raw materials.
You have made strong valid points and anyone who wants to set up a new business must adhere to those instructions in order to have the business up and running smoothly. I'm considering starting a new business of fish pond. I'm still gathering all the information I need to do it right.

MARKET
This basically means your target audience, people who are interested in buying your products, services or skills in whatever venture you set out to do , here you do market testing, find out ways to improve your service delivery.

CAPITAL
Capital is one of the most important aspects of starting a business. It is the backbone and the foundation upon which the business is built. Even businesses that requires zero capital to build you still have to invest in knowledge. This is definitely a factor we cannot overlook. You will need all the help and knowledge you can get to make it in the business world. The business world out there is no joke. It is not for the faint hearted nor the weak. You must be ready to take full responsibility for your actions and decisions.

You have to find the right niche as well. A lot of times factors are only important when you have the right kind of business. The type of business you choose is the most important of all. Sometimes it's not even worth being in a business that is the wrong type. You need to search for something that sells a product or service that people actually need. If you can manage to get a patent for something as well it can make you successful.

Here is a list of factors which help you to consider before starting a business:
A Business Idea.
Knowledge or Expertise.
Market or Demand.
Start-up Costs.
Capital and Finance.
Competition.
Location.
Staff.

Yes, it is very important to consider your capital before venturing into any business, you need to also make sure you are equal to the task, you need to have the skills of what you are about to start, you need to have experience or be trained very well before considering starting your business.

This is an obvious one. An investor needs to understand the business in which he/she is investing. Like Peter Lynch’s investment maxim says ‘Invest in what you know’. It will be difficult to be cheated in an investment, if you understand the rubrics of that business. Before investing in a business, study the business; the more you understand the business, the more confident you’ll feel about the investment. Additionally, talking to an expert - someone who knows the industry that interests you - can also help.

Before venturing into any business you have to check the profit and risk rate of the business you have to know if the business is a good one or not. Then location to start and also capital required to start should be considered

Before venturing into any business one needs to consider the capital that will be used in purchasing things needed for your firm, one also need to make sure the firm is easily accessible and not too far from the market.

The most important factor people should look before starting a business, you need to sit down and consider the kind of business you want to venture, and how you can run your business, and the plans you make before starting,

Starting a business can be a motivating idea especially for first time entrepreneurs or employed individuals who are tired of the 8am-5pm job. It’s encouraging to start a business when you think about the freedom of not working 8-9 hours a day in a confined office, not having to report to a boss, and the possibility of endless profit.

It is just a desire to be on top of things that motivates many to start businesses. They have no idea about the money that is required, the hard work that they have to put in, the knowledge and the experience that they have to gain, and the kind of patience they need to have, until their business reaches up to a certain level for them to break even or make profits.
