Does anybody have experience with bringing angel investors on board to fund their business?

If so, I'd like to hear your experiences! How did you find the arrangement worked for you? Did you find that the angel investors were happy to remain as "hands-off" as you wished, or did they want to be more involved than you originally had planned for?

What was the level of investment you received and the terms?

I'm interested to hear some of your experiences.

I do not have a first hand experience in bringing angel investors to my business but I once had talks with some people who were interested in investing in my dairy business. They offered investment and also promised to market and sell products. But the deal was never finalized because instead of having equity for their investment, they were asking for interest in the investment.
Interestingly, my cousin who was running a start up managed to get some angel investors through personal connections.

Yeah a big help is personal connections but who has them? It reminds me of people who get likes for whatever they say on Facebook and these same people could use GoFundMe for Disney World, ha ha.
