Ever been forced to change your domain?

Has there ever been a time where you had to change your domain? Maybe it was someone attempting to sue for a similar name, or you no longer liked the name. Have you ever been forced to change your domain? If so, why?

Yes, due to the fact that a name as mine already existed and for security reasons. So I just needed to readjust.

I don't think I can answer this question appropriately. Those who have bought domains should enlighten us here. Also, I see it as illegal to force someone in changing his domain name?

Once you register a domain, it is yours as long as you continue to renew. When you own a domain, no one can force you to change its. It is completely under your control.

This hasn't happened to me, and I doubt it will ever. Most times before you purchase a domain name, you get to see a list of options, sometimes something related to the domain name you picked, so most times you don't violate copyright and whatnot.

Yes I did change a domain I once had due to the fact that even people I told about the names were confused because some one had a similar name of my domain

Well I don't have a website so I have no domain and don't really have much to contribute on here

I have never owned a domain. But I believe is also one of the ways to make a good money online. I think if you asked to change a domain name or a site name it means the name might be offensive.

I don't I have ever been charged or forced to Change my domain name due to some factors. The best I do for myself is that I buy domain name that won't give me any issue during or after registration.
