eBay Sellers

Yep, I have my profile here: https://www.ebay.com/usr/chrisgrigg2010

Selling on eBay is pretty straightforward. I do have problems sometimes with buyers retracting their bids on auctions, but it is what it is. There is plenty of money to be made if you have products that are selling. Don't waste your time on products that wouldn't even interest a dog.

Doesn't Ebay take that seriously? Just reporting to them and move on with your day by giving the item to the runner up?

I don't sell, but I do buy a lot for my job on Ebay.

That's interesting why not try buying from the industry your in first though? For example I see deals for server units every now and then from former brands. Or brands who wanna shine their expensive chips in prospects eye balls.

Money. We can save so much on equipment when buying on Ebay. For example, instead of buying say 2 or 3 new scan guns, if we buy from ebay we can easily save thousands of dollars and still get the same amount of guns. Since I repair a ton of machines now, if they break, it's usually an easy fix. Sure there's things we won't buy on ebay like keypads for wearables or scan guns, but that's because they're like 4 cents lol. The next buy I make I'll post what it was and how much we saved as it might provide some insight.

If you're good at it, employers will really like you. My boss told me a story about his son who was a new hire and was put on some projects. He got the project done fast and for way cheaper than others could because he bought from eBay. From there, he is trusted with more projects, tasks, and he's a more valuable employee which results in raises down the road!

I used to sell alot of things on eBay a few years ago. :p I started off just selling things from around the house that i didn't need anymore, then i moved on to buying somethings in bulk and reselling them for a profit. :p I never did make a fortune out of it, but did ok. :p

Here is my eBay profile. I've been buying and selling video games for the last month and a half, and it's gone pretty well. I buy refurbished or pre-owned video games for cheap and then I flip them on eBay. I've sold a little bit over 200 games since mid-November. I don't have much listed right now because I've had so much going on with Christmas and the start of the New Year, but I've got plenty of games I need to list soon.

I didn't even know that eBay was still a thing...

Yea personally I found it easier to do things via Amazon at least as buyer than "Ebaying" it. But I do see the points still valid for things that auction well (collectibles, old valuables, and so on). I just wouldn't do it to find tech gears for example though.

It’s a huge company, not to mention they owned PayPal for a little while. It’s not Amazon, but it’s certainly still relevant.

I’ve always found that things are a little bit cheaper on eBay, especially if you’re willing to wait a little bit longer to receive the product.

But unless anything changes you don't get Ebay to "back it up". Amazon does IF you buy it via "shipped and sold by Amazon", which double in case you have a DOA or just need to return something.

I rather have the "insurance" of that rather than to "save a buck" if you find a few relevant auctions to grab it off.

Well, that’s one of the the things about Amazon. They require their marketplace sellers to ship a certain amount of stock to their distribution centers before these sellers can even list their merchandise. I guess that’s why they’re able to have so many products sold and shipped by Amazon and able to offer two-day Prime shipping on so many different things.
