E-Readers?

Does anybody own a specific device for reading books? (like a Kindle, Kobo, Nook) Do you enjoy using it?

I use kindle app in my galaxy tab which is pretty nice!

If I am going to be reading on a portable device I would just read them on the kindle app on my ipad. I don't read enough on the go that would make me need a e-reader

nope i own none and i like to read through books not through e-reader

I own a Kindle. I am extremely happy I bought it. I currently have 10 books in it. I can read whichever book I want based on the mood I am in. How cool is that. I know we can do that on tablets too, but I am not a great fan of the shiny screens. E-Ink is genius. It is almost like reading a real book.

Does all the applications for android work on a kindle?

I own a Kindle Fire (1st generation). I think it's pretty great. Good for all media/entertainment, like books, videos, music, apps, etc. Great interface and design and runs pretty smoothly.

I don't know since I do not own a Kindle Fire. I own a "Kindle Special Offers edition" which has adverts when the device is in sleep mode. I have a friend who owns a Kindle Fire. I will ask him and get back to you.

Got a Kobo Glo as one of my Christmas presents. I love it. It will be very useful next year if I'm at Uni because I won't be able to have many books in my room.

I haven't used an e-reader yet. Been thinking about possibly getting one but now I see several people happy with theirs. I'm glad to hear that.

I have an ebook reader installed on my Tablet and though I dont make much use of it, it is still some good during those trips to the doctors when I go to a different state for my annual health checkups

I don't have a specific device such as an e-reader. I can just as easily read books from the old school style of flipping pages, or through my smart phone.

Why spend more money on a device when I already have one

I do not have a special device for reading, simply because I do not need it.

If I have to read something, I can read it on my laptop.

I currently do not but I want one. It is annoying carrying around tons of books when I go out. They are heavy! Hopefully I can find a used one or something soon!
