Do you use the same company to register your domain and host your website, or use different companies as your domain registrar and web host? I use the same company for domain registrar and web host. It is easier to manage your domains and websites if you use the same company.

I typically register domains where I can get them the cheapest. Normally, it's cheapest through my own hosting services, which I provide through USHost247, but sometimes other companies run better deals. I will opt for their deals, and then when it comes time to renew them, I will transfer them over to my company profile.

Is your hosting service reseller hosting, or do you have your own servers? In case your hosting service is reseller hosting, where did you buy it from? I have been thinking about starting a reseller hosting for a long time.

I actually have a contract where I lease the whole server and have a team that manages 24/7/365 ticket support, phone support, and live chat.

We actually provide reseller hosting options.

Your hosting packages cost more than what I am paying currently. However, your reseller hosting package is comparatively cheaper. Do you offer SSL free for a lifetime or free for just one year?

Even you buy hosting from one company and then domain name from another you could transfer domain name after purchase it from godaddy to name cheap using a code so it is not big problem. You gain installation head ache.
Transferring a domain to a new registrar or even migrating to a new host is not a big deal, but why do you have to register with the registrar/host that you cannot use for the long term?

It could be a wrong decision from the beginning but you have corrected your choice a little later so everyone could be impressioned with hoster then find that the offers does no longer being good.

That's why you should do a lot of research while choosing a platform to register your domains and host your websites.

If I have to choose, I will wait for next black Friday or cyber monday. These companies offer 30 to 96% discount. Then I will decide which is better, same or different.

Some people choose to register a domain and buy hosting from two different companies because of the offers they are receiving during sale and promotional events.

This is called taking advantage of competition, they try to find and choose whichever is best for them.

While registering a domain name the most important thing to remember is how much you would be paying for renewal costs. I once bought a domain for $1 but I had to spend $35 to renew the domain.

Take a look at this I am talking about hostinger offers hosting with domain name:
There are a lot of companies like hostinger that offer a free domain for the customers buying hosting for the period of one year, for example, iPage, Bluehost, hostgator, etc. However, the domain is free only for the first year.
