On one of my current sites, I wanted some type of banner rotation or slider. I think those are very modern looking even though I see more and more sites implementing them now.

My sites are always different. I try to create unique sites that don't adhere to other sites, or is similar. I like to go above and beyond and create creative site designs.

Each time I've created a community I made sure they had something that looked different than all the other forums. Typically ended up with a custom theme to use. A forum I'm an admin of - while we have pre-made themes we now have a custom theme in both light and dark. It is beautiful and I'm obsessed with it lol. We also changed our layout to be different than the norm. I think we have created a unique experience that has guided the way for many forums.

I build my websites through content management systems. I use free templates and themes for my website, therefore, my website do not have a unique look, my website is just like any other website. I do not have the skills to create websites from scratch, therefore, my websites do not have a unique look.

In as much as I like to always borrow ideas from other people's work, I do always like to be unique and standout from others. I may choose to import so ideas from other websites to mine but I'll rather have to make it very unique.

Being able to create your website to have a distinct look even when you have copied a little bit of things from other people's work is something that is very necessary because it is going to ensure that your brand stand out in a way that it is going to be different.
