Does your country offer lateral flow testing for Covid?

In England all adults are now being offered free lateral flow testing (Rapid testing) to pick up people who may have covid but are not showing symptoms. I have been doing them for some time because I live with a school age child so I would be classed as more vulnerable. The schools here and those who live with the children have been doing them since March.

They are pretty unpleasant to do but they do make me feel safer. I wondered if other countries are also doing them.

As a result of the fact that the corona virus pandemic is not really disturbing us much here in my country, little effort is deployed towards vaccinating people against it.

I do not really know or have the idea of that lateral test, but there has been announcement that people should collect the vaccine against Covid-19.

Lateral flow tests are where you stick a swab down your throat and up your nose and then mix it with liquid provided and add it to a plastic test strip rather like a pregnancy test. One line is negative and two is positive. It's to pick up those people who have it but do not show symptoms.View attachment 2174

Nigeria is not seeing the corona virus as deadly as other countries do and maybe that is why there is no much effort in curbing it circulation.

yes my country offer Lateral flow for covid19. I believe it is normal for all country in the world to help their citizen and also to run this test

My country has made it quite clear that they don't want or use rapid testing method for the coronavirus because they feel that it is not quite accurate than the normal PCR method of testing which is more accurate.

Testing for Covid 19 here in my country is not something that is done merely because you want to get it done. It is done probably because the result is needed for an international travel.

My country do not have lateral flow for covid 19, what they did was to create enough publicity for people to go for check one's they start having some symptoms of cold.

Are you paying for the test!? In some section in my country, there is covid 19 test but not everywhere though because some rural area doesn't have the privilege.

No they are completely free. My granddaughter gets hers from the school and I get mine from the government site. They are not the same as the tests you have when you have symptoms. They are to test people who may be asymptomatic (symptom free) because they could be passing the virus on without knowing it.

In my country here we don't have lateral flow test for covid19, and I don't think in Nigeria here that there are such covid19 here, to talk of having the lateral test.

Not really sure haven't heard of this before and not sure my country does that. It seems the Covid here is actually different from the rest of the world's .But if the lateral test is something that stops the spread of Covid I see no reason my country hasn't started yet.

Never heard of the term too untill today. My country doesn't practice this system of Identification. If they did I would have seen them around my neighborhood

Coronavirus is a very deadly pandemic that every country nee to handle with seriousness. In my country, before you come into the country you must be probably tested if you have any symptom you will be isolated for 2 weeks before. This need to be done in every country to help fight this pandemic

Yes of course my country offer Lateral test flow test for covid19, and I believe that all country I didn't that. This was the work of the government.

Nigeria is not seeing the corona virus as deadly as other countries do and maybe that is why there is no much effort in curbing it circulation.

It's actually seen as a deadly virus as the federal government keeps looking for means to get a cure and free testing but mismanagement and corruption in the country is just much.
