Does a smaller business mean smaller profits?

Smallishness of a business doesn't mean the profit will be small, it all depends on the type of business that you are doing, every successful big businesses in the world all started small and grow bigger later wrong with dedication, commitment, perseverance and consistency, expansion your business to the next level is sure.
Not really small business does not mean small profit they are some small business that actually bring huge profit to the owner it's just depend on the kind of business.

Yes attimes the size of the business determine the amount of profit that comes in because profit came as a result of gain make directly from sales

Nice one blessings from Akwa ibom, but you need to understand that most people will likes to do business which companies that are more advanced in terms of size and ability.
If your services and product as a small business is of a good quality and of an affordable price,I see no reason why people will leave you to bigger companies. Another thing that draws people to a small business is ready availability of services and products. Make your products readily available,of a good quality and price, most people will leave big companies for you.

Most small companies will not be able to give out smaller price for product compared to a larger company because larger company is advance and more established than the smaller one sometimes

No I don't believe that smaller business means smaller profit because they are some smaller business that make good profit and some bigger business that does not make any profit.

Actually a small business does not mean that the business will be making smaller profit because in some instances a small business can make a big profit despite their small size.
This is very true, and it is good to see that people are able to look past the physical nature of a business and rather look at the potential of the business based on their plans and product of sale as well.

The rate at which some very small businesses turn to big businesses over night is now very high as a result of the unique offerings and their highly quality product which is created or manufactured to serve the market.

I do not think so. Small business can generate good profit if the employees are really good and if that small business gets a great amount of customers daily. It all depends on how you apply business strategies.

Smaller business doesn't mean that the business will not make profits but it will not makes profits than the capital invested in the business. The amount of money that you spent on a business goes a long way in determining the amounts of profits that the business will make.

Yes that is very true I think that you can not make more profit is your capital is small so the higher the capital you are using to trade the higher the amount of profit you are going to make,so there is no way you can compare the profit you make from large investment than the one you made from small investment

I think we take a small business lightly. Running a small business does bring much profit depending on the kind of product you sell or service you offer.

Business is all about taking risk and most businesses doesn't require huge capital or start up, due to how flexible the business can be run without inquiring huge cost. However, there are small businesses that have huge profit margin due to the value, not necessarily the market cost value.

Yes small business does bring much profits but no matter the profits it cannot be more that what you invested in the business. The higher the amount of money the better the profits of the business.

Every profit you see in business is as a result of how large or small the business is, but there are small business that the goods are sold frequently and you make much profit.

I definitely agree with you and I think that it is largely attributed to the fact that many people are developing their own businesses and as a result it has become very competitive in the business world and it is either that you are thriving or you are losing and if you are winning you can generally progress at a much faster rate.

Smaller business does not mean smaller profit as a matter of fact there are businesses that can be small but generate a large amount of income in term of what they sell and how they sell because it is not just about what they sell anymore it is also about how ell they sell.

A business cannot make profits that is more than the size of the business. The size of the business will determine the profit that the business will make.

it doesn't matter sometimes and at the same times its matter, there some small scale that would be making an huge of profit simple because people don't pay attention to it but sometimes the more you produce the more the profit you acquired

Yes,if you manage it with good care and you applied good skills it will bring more good profit.
But when you handle it carelessly your business will not go good and you will never get good amount of profit

When it comes to opening up a business, one of the thoughts that generally crosses our mind is whether to open up a big or a small business. Of course there are risks that are associated with each type of business, however does a smaller business mean that there is smaller profit margins as well?

The reason that I am asking this is that if you have a smaller business then you generally keep fewer of the items in stock as well and therefore this means that when you are purchasing it from your supplier that you will purchase less as well. We all know that when you purchase a lot of a product from a supplier that you generally get it at a cheaper rate and this is often referred to as a bulk rate discount.

However, if you are preparing for a small business you may not be purchasing enough stock that can allow you to qualify for this discount. Therefore, it is either you have to mark up the cost much higher or you have to have a smaller profit margin so that you can still be competitive in the market. Which do you think is the better option?
On most cases smaller businesses are associated with smaller profit, but as of this century the media world and online opportunities that boosts relevance if business has created a world where small business can earn you huge profits.
