Throwaway emails are essentially free services where you can have a temporary email, usually to test things, maybe setup another account on a site of yours. Maybe to test how to ban users and stuff like that.

I have a couple of gmail accounts that I mainly use for testing services and signing up for forums and other sites. I do not care about spam on these emails as I do not usually monitor these emails. However, I have used temporary emails multiple times as well. I use temporary emails when someone asks me to create a lot of fake accounts on their sites and post fake content or fake reviews.

One of the main purpose of throwaway emails is that they can also help maintain privacy and anonymity when engaging in online activities that require email verification or registration.

I used such emails when I worked for a client. The client suggested that as it was one of the ways that they needed me to complete the jobs and I had no issues with doing the job to ensure that the client is satisfied at the end of of day.

Whenever I'm working on a project that is a temporal work which I don't need to return to the platform for any purpose in the future, I normally make use of these disposable email so that I don't have to worry about having to reset my password in the future if there is a need for it.
