Do you use excel or google sheets to keep track of your sites?

Personal i tend to use excel in order to try and keep track of all of the websites that i do make use of and the reason that i tend to do this is rather simple. If you are looking at the list that i make, it contains the username and password for all the sites that i make use of and therefore i would prefer to keep it in an offline file. Google sheets is stored online and therefore i think that there can be some concerns when it comes to security in that sense.

That makes a lot of sense, but isn't excel also connected to the internet, I mean not in the same way, def it's excel over sheets as sheets you can also accidentally share with someone you don't want and you are done for it.

That is true, however what I tend to do on these sorts of files is that i password protect them so that even if they are accidentally seen by someone that is using my laptop or if I had to accidentally share them with a friend inadvertently then they would still not be able to actually access the content that is on there. That is the best way that I can think to handle them write now. I am worried to actually write it all down in a book and keep it offline.

There are this features of Google sheets that just makes it very easy for collaboration and also to be able to see things from the web directly from the application.

I have not be using it for my website. But, I have used it in the past to keep records of digital products sales. I used to keep track and determine whether I made a profit or loss. It's a nice initiative and it really reduce the stress of manually calculating how much you gain or loss from your business.

When it comes to tracking the progress of my site, I would prepare monthly reports of the progress. I could use many other software, not necessarily Google Sheets.

No but I have system design on my laptop which have list of tasks and progress reports which will help me to manage my workload and can track site progress easily.

i am not too conversant with Microsoft excel sheet despite for the fact that i have tried learning it in time past, so at the moment for all my documentation needs, i currently use the google sheet

That makes a lot of sense, but isn't Excel also connected to the internet? I mean, not in the same way. Excel is undoubtedly preferable to sheets because sheets can also accidentally be shared with someone you don't want to share them with, at which point you are screwed.

I am starting today using google sheets, so I can follow what i do :D What about you?
I have never used GOOGLE SHEETS for any kind of my works that I partake. I mostly use MICROSOFT EXCEL from the MICROSOFT OFFICE SUIT for all data collection, analysis and a lot more.

i really believe it is much more easier to use the google sheet than the Microsoft excel, as excel is more complex to understand and it is very broad as well, i have been trying to learn it for years now without success.

Microsoft Excel as part of the f Microsoft Office program in general is what I mostly utilize for all data gathering, analysis, and other tasks.Google Sheets has never been used by me for any of the work I do.

Oh sorry to hear that. Honestly, I have never try the GOOGLE SHEETS before and so I can't say anything GOOD OR BAD about it. But with EXCEL, I can say that it is more PROFESSIONAL to use.

Exactly, using Google sheet is the easiest and free from data lost due to system program failure. Excell requires intense work and inputs

I don't own a website currently, but i've heard that using microsoft excel to keep track of one's website is easier than using google sheets to keep track of one's website.

I recently know about it very recently and I have to say it has been helpful. It's always good to organizing. It's not only about writing or updating your blog, you must organize everything about your blog.
