Curious to see who here uses Cloudflare on their sites, be them forums, blogs, or shops.

If you don't use Cloudflare, what are the reasons why? I know there really isn't an alternative for it right now. I have had issues with it but I still use it.

Yes. I try to use CloudFlare any chance that I get. I like their CDN service and the protection they offer for DDOS.

Cloudflare provides great services like it protects your website and improves its speed. It blocks DOS and DDoS and allows only genuine traffic.

I think that is a lot of websites that actually do make use of this service however personally I have never utilised it because I do not have enough information in order to make that decision however it will surely something that I will look into in the future.

They make it easy and free to get a secure web domain. That is the main reason it seems people use it. So that alone might make it valuable for you depending on your site.

It depends on the nature of the hoster if you are using ForumOtion there is no Cloudflare installed as it is a ready script but if you are using another provider it is possible like Vanilla is compatible with Cloudflare.

Making it easy is a good thing however this also means that there is a lot of people that are creating websites as well to try and scam people because it is easy to do so, so it can work either way.

Until now I have not used cloudflare. However, I have decided to use cloudflare on one of my sites that had DDoS attack recently. I hear that Cloudflare is a good service to stop attacks on your site. They say even the free version can be really good.

I use Jcink as my forum software and it does not use Cloudflare at this time, though I mentioned it to the software owner and he said he may consider revisiting the idea of using it seeing as he tried using it in the past and it didn't work out well with the software.

jcink is a free forum hosting program, right? Does this also have a premium version? How much is the subscription charge for the premium version?
I have now started using cloudflare after DDoS attack on my forum.

Well, Cloudfare isn't bad. I have seen a lot of forum that makes use of it and it serves their need for making use of it. When you can't afford to pay of a premium DNS, then I believe that making use of Cloudfare is what you're going to make do with. Forum Promotion is actually making use of Cloudfare, so it's a good thing to the best of my knowledge.

Yes, Jcink is free forum hosting. It does have a premium service available for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year.

By paying $10 per month, do you also get access to your website files, can you move your files to another forum software, XF or phpBB for instance? Do you think forum hosting platform like jcink, your website is save from DDoS attacks?

Personally, I don't think that there's any forum out there that's completely full proof from DDoS attack. There's a level to every security attack. I have seen so many big forum with a good back up with security get DDoS attacked left, right and centre.
