This is a business or job or skill our forefathers specialised in years ago. Those who are into it are very wealthy because they make a lot of money with their craftsmanship. Construction companies have taken over main of blacksmith's job but there are still some people doing it locally.

Do you know any of such people still into blacksmith's business?

Yes I still know of quite a lot of them in my village. The outstanding part of this is that most of those ones in the city have stepped up their games by upgrading into using some contemporary technology.

The use of contemporary technology is always going to give a blacksmith an edge in his works. Even though the old orthodox tools used can still do a very good job, the new contemporary technological tools will make their work more effective.

I have thought about this before, but i guess they are still around but these days they use machines to do the work. I doubt there would be a blacksmith out there who still does the whole work with his hand, unless probably in a rural setup.

Those who are still in the rural villages in this line of business are still making use of their crude materials or tools that they employ in their blacksmith business and it still does a very good job for them because they still produce a lot of good farming tools.

In my hometown, the blacksmith is still a good career. There is a huge demand for garden tools, utility tools, and handmade kitchen wares. However, not many people are into this business. The new generation is not continuing their ancestors' careers and the old people are retiring.

Once it gets to farming tools, it's something that local b local blacksmiths take charge in very well and they are very good at it. The last time I was in a blacksmith's workshop in my town, I was impressed with their level of productivity.

I remember, blacksmith has been as old as civilization. I hardly hear about them anylonger but I always know they still exist some other places. As you rightly said, our farming tools are being fabricated by the blacksmith..

I doubt that they are making the type of money that they were making before. This is the major change that has occured. There are alternatives that made the job not to be as lucrative as it used to in the past too. So, while the blacksmiths are still there, the big money is not there anymore.

I believe so too because our great-great-grandfather's have blacksmiths that are very excellent when it comes to crafting any kind of tools and even weapons that they make use of going to war decades ago. So, they have always been around, it's just that technology have made everything to be more finesse now.
