Do you run your forum, website, blog, or online project alone or have you got a few people who help out with the duties? Are they volunteers or employees? I've got a handful of volunteers who help out with the moderation & administration work on my popular community.

When starting and more especially if the work is not bulky you could work alone but as the type of onojne project or projects scale up you would have to engange some people .In my case I have some online project and I have enganged some people to work on certain content for me.

But when it comes to volunteering i think it has a higher disadvantage than someone offering their services for a small fee.

If I have a website, I would get people who would write contents for me while I pay them. Doing everything on your own is not easy and would make things very difficult to handle.

I run my projects alone (I have over 15 websites, where I have to publish new contents regularly), however, when I need extra hands, I hire virtual assistants or part time staff.

When one creates an online community, he shouldn't work everything out on his own. He should seek the services of people, whether employ them or not, but he shouldn't expect free task from them all the time. At least encourage their job with some good incentives. Remember "a tree can never make a forest.

I don't have any website, blog, or a forum. I am not even selling online. Thus, I do not have my own projects. If I ever launch a project, I will have to collaborate with other people as I do not have any knowledge.

You can run your blogs by your own, If you have a lot of blogs, you may have to hire writers but you can manage alone. However, for a forum, managing alone is not possible

I don't have any forum for now but when I have, I will try to run it on my own for some few starting years. But later, I can now delegate the task to some people depending on the volume of the work.

I don't think is advisable to run your project on own alone, you have to seek some help by employing some in order to build the project, because it is good to get experience from other people too.

Yes, i can manage alone when it comes to blogging, create contents on my own when i have such time. Can hire writers too, to assist me. But forums needs more bodies to assist the Admin when it has large membership.

Most online project usually start as a one man project, then along the line others begin to see the value and would want to invest or place helping hands. Then with time you can start employing

During the starting phase, you can run a forum alone. However, once it starts growing and when you begin to see a lot of members and content, you need dedicated staff

Most of the project both online and offline cannot be done alone , take forum sites as an example, you can start alone but you still need people to help you acheive your aim and dreams.

I run my projects that I carry out online with the help of a few employees and one or two people who choose to volunteer for the purpose of learning something in the process.

When we started our outfit, most of the online activities were been done by me personally, but as the business progreses and we need to specialise for effective service production,we gave that responsibility to another partner and it has been very effective since then.

I like to be running project my way. I don't like anyone interfere or partner up with me in any project I am carry out because it is quite different from the normal ones. Someone who partner up with me in projects may not understand what I'm doing and I am not ready to explain anything to anybody.

Sure, when starting out a community or a board of any kind, it is good to get people to volunteer. It is only through getting willing volunteer that you will know that your forum or community ideas is viable. But when things start gaining traction, you can now consider employing moderators on a retainer. This is because the activity will increase to the level that volunteers may not be able to handle. Incentivizing is good but again, it should be done in moderation in order to increase genuine engagement.

As a website owner I run my website alone for now. If I am able to grow the website to the extent that I will need a helping hands to help me with some duties I will definitely do that

To be quite frank ige never seen a huge project that is handled alone, all good project have a team that delivered the project. I hope this answers your question
