When it comes to social media, do you ever respond to people from your audience or from your community? Are you open with your customers/audience? Or do you like to mostly stay private and not interact with people much? What is your preference?

In order to build a big audience and community which trust you and your content then you should definitely respond to your audience because they might have problems.

Generally speaking, it is a good idea to interact with your audience on social media. Whether it's a query, a comment, or a complaint, your audience expects a reaction when they engage with your company on social media.

Yes, I respond to my audience on social sites. I not only reply to private messages but also interact with public comments through likes and other reactions. I also reply to comments

I do not have such a large following in social media however I feel that responding to your audience will cement the bond between your audience and you as well as potentially invite huge followings.

I am a firm believer that to build an audience that will take you seriously and even give you the time of day, you do need to be able to build a relationship of some kind with your followers and audience on social media.

I always reply and interact with my audience on social media as I feel that builds a relationship that will not only help me but also help others as well.

If you want to run a successful business and get the most out of social media (marketing), you should absolutely engage with your audience and be as responsive as possible. Even if you're not the biggest extrovert (like me, in my private life), you should reply and react to their comments, in my opinion.

I will "like" things and comment on replies if they warrant one. This is for a personal account though, one of which I do not use very often. I intend to set up one for my new site and I will go out of my way to interact with people as it can grow a following faster.

Well, from my experience when it comes to building your social media audience, you have to be very engaging with your audience especially when your accounts are still new. This is what will bring more followers to your page because word will spread very fast about how you carry all your audience along.
