Do you renew your forum licenses?

I think its a waste of money unless there is a huge security bug or a major release with a lot of dded features. I see no other reason to buy an update of license. For example xenforo says we can keep the license without renewing the license every year. But if we want to make use of a ticket support system or we would like to get the updates to the forum software, we must update it each and every year.

So what are your thoughts on this?

You should keep updating if they are still developing the software, for security reasons as well as plugin compatibility. Didn't Xenforo extend all licenses?

I only renew when I actually need to as otherwise I feel I can be wasting a lot of money and getting nothing back.
