One of the easiest ways to build a forum is by using the forum software. You have two options for forum software, one, open source software, and two, premium software. I use open source forum software, I have never used premium software myself. For those who use premium software, I would like to ask a question. Do you really have to use premium software?

Well, if it aint Xenforo or IPB, then its usually crap. Most free forums don't have the shear amount of addons and plugins available for it.
Which forum free forum scripts do you think are craps? I have used SMF, phpBB, and MyBB and these are as good as Xenforo and IPB.
