The beach used to be good, but the last year or so most of the beaches around the UK are becoming so polluted with waste because the govt voted not to treat them properly, because it was too expensive.

That's unfortunate. Pollution is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet today. It harms not only the environment but also human health and the well-being of all living things. And the whole humanity should combat this problem. Sadly it's easier to look away than to do an action. Of which sometimes I'm also guilty of.

It wasn't that long ago - less than 10 years - where this wasn't the case. The costs of treatment of the waste have risen dramatically over the last 6 years or so.

Our politicians give us one excuse after the next, hoping we won't see through their lies - they tell us it is the pandemic, or the war with Ukraine, or... anything other than the elephant in the room called Brexit, which raised the costs of bringing in the necessity chemical supplies to cleanse the water, and of course, the politicians must vote for what makes them money, rather than for the people they notionally work for.

I absolutely love going to the pool. While I have been to the ocean now 3 times-ish - I have realized I love looking at it and being at the edge of water, but if I really truly want to swim I rather be in a pool.
