Do you keep up with politics?

Do you keep up to date on politics? Or do you tend to ignore them for the most part? Sometimes you can't ignore them, as they're too big to ignore. But do you keep up with politics?

I understand not wanting to be involved in politics, it can get heated and I myself am not a fan of getting into arguments.

I wouldn't say I am fully invested in politics but I am someone who does pay attention to politics when I need to and when it is most important. For example at the moment with the cost of living crisis and the government offering help during this time, I am keeping a very close eye on that as I feel it is necessary for me to do so and keep up to date with everything going on for that.

I only keep myself updated with only the politics being played by our government which affects me directly. Why I do so is for me to find how to stay ahead of the bad side of such policies because they always have the good and bad side.

Unfortunately right now, I am not going to consider myself as someone who is political in any way because of the way the government of my country have rubbished everything that concerns politics in the state. The only business I have with politics right now is voting in an election that I believe that would be credible.

Yes, it's the necessary updates in politics in my State I will concern myself with. They are what will affect my life, I need to be aware of what those wicked man in power are doing that will affect me.

For many years, I wrote political commentaries, most about national politics, for newspapers in my home country. When I was writing political commentaries, I used to keep up with national and international politics. However, these days I do not write on politics and I do not keep with political events in the country as well as on the international scene.

It is only on political cases that are causing a lot of attention in the international space that I usually keep up with. It's just like what is happening between Israel and Palestine, Russia and Ukraine and so many other crisis ridden areas. It is those updates that I normally keep up with in order for me to know what is going on.
