In HTML, there are six levels of heading tags: h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, and h6. Each heading tag represents a different level of importance, with h1 being the highest and h6 being the lowest. For me, there is technically no limit in number of times you can use each heading tag on a webpage, it's generally recommended to use them semantically and hierarchically to structure your content.

Overusing heading tags or using them inappropriately can negatively impact accessibility and SEO.

I do not go beyond h3, I mostly use h2 and h3. I use h1 for title. H tags are not only for structuring your content for readability but also helping search engine bots to pick up keywords from your content for ranking purpose.
