Do You Give a Lot of Outbound Do-Follow Backlinks

Google does not like website that gives a lot of do-follow backlinks. Google understands that when a website is giving away too many backlinks, it is a link farm. Therefore, Google not only disregards these backlinks but even penalizes the site for giving too many backlinks. That's the reason why web directories and article directories are not considered good websites to build backlinks. Do you give a lot of backlinks to your website? Have you ever been penalized by Google for giving too many backlinks?
I do not like sending my visitors to another website, therefore, I rarely share outbound links.
