I used to go on this pokemon forum 3 years ago and the members there were immature and annoying ... including the staff. There were only a few dozen who were great to socialize with. So what about you?

I love to socialize on forums but then there are some big limitations - I am from India with a non-English background and as such, there are many instances wherein I dont find it easy to understand the jokes and other few words used by others on forums. That at times proves to be a limitation but then, there are some good people who understand and we have been good friends. Though all this only on the Internet, but then, I firmly believe that we are all humans at the other ends of it :)

I am always thinking out my posts before I actually post them because I do not want to offend anyone! I do not think there is any need to be rude on a forum. Being nice is where it is at!

I agree with you. We come to meet people from different parts of the world and as such one should take care that the language used and the tone of the writing doesnt hurt others (what might seem to be simpler to us might seem rude to others from another country). And on that, we spend so little time on any forum - so why spread the bad word about us :)[DOUBLEPOST=1405405434][/DOUBLEPOST]

Of course I get along with my members. If I don't, then what is the point of running a forum? You have to get along with your members, because they support your community. So you return the favor, and support them. Of course its difficult for larger communities, but your best bet is to keep them up to date.

I tend to get along with members yes, I have met quite a few people who I am friends with now on forums and we get on really well together. I have always been someone who likes to socialise on forums, take part in discussions and meet people along the way who have the same interests as me. On my forum I tend to get along with everyone on there which I feel is necessary as if you do not get on with one member on your forum it can soon be detected by others.

In internet forums, if you don't get along well with someone, simply ignore that person.

I normally get along quite well with other forum members.
