Do you feel drama is playing a big role in forums seeing a decline in activity?

Something I have noticed just recently is even though forums are still holding on at the moment, there does seem to be somewhat of a decline due to things such as drama on the forums.

One thing that can be off-putting to members on a forum is drama and that can result in members no longer wanting to be associated with a forum for that very reason.

What are your thoughts on forums seeing a decline in activity? Could it be drama or something else?

I have been on a couple of forums where there were a lot of "forum dramas" however, based on my experience on these forums, I did not think the drama had any effect on members' activity. Well, it did not affect me, I continued doing what I was doing. INterestingly, on some forums, the drama did affect me because I was also indirectly involved with the drama.

Dramas don't make me change from what I was doing on a forum too. I focus fully on ensuring that I have fun on forums and focus less on dramas. It is not drama that is going to stop me from achieving the goals that I want to achieve on a forum as well. So, I avoid most of those dramas entirely.

Sometimes you get caught up in the drama. You see on a certain forum, I have been a member since 2017 but I was caught in the drama and now they are moderating my posts. I have not been involved with any violations yet I was caught in the drama and despite being an old member, they keep my posts under moderation.
