If you have a popular Facebook or other social profiles, do you really need to start a website? I ask because I do have websites and social sites and sometimes I feel like I get more traffic to socials than some of my sites. So for those who have a hard time with sites, do you instead focus your time on socials?

Even if you are active on Facebook and other social media networks, having a website is still crucial. A website gives you more control over your online presence and offers a dedicated location for your business, even though social media can help you become more visible and connect with customers.

I think having a website could still make our business look reliable for the customers. Social media platforms are only good for marketing but not a place to talk a lot about the firm or company.

Your website is your property, you have full control. Your facebook page is your rented home, you are there for a short time and you do not control it. YOu need your own website.

It depends. I think it is a good idea to still have your own site to link to. Not everyone uses Facebook and it seems it is trending downward so it would make sense to have a place people can be directed to with your information.

While having a social media presence can be beneficial for businesses, having a website is still important for several reasons. A website allows you to have more control over your brand and messaging, it can improve your credibility and professionalism, and it provides a central hub for your content and offerings.

Someone like me does not need to create a website since I can sell my products on Facebook but it is good to have a website so that I can upload all my goods on it

Social media platforms can be valuable tools for reaching and engaging with your audience, a website provides several distinct advantages which are; control, branding, ownership, content depths, SEO and discoverability and conversion and analytics. You can use your website as a central hub for your online presence, with social media profiles linking back to it. This way, you can leverage the strengths of both platforms to maximize your online reach and engagement.

It depends on what you are truly after because even though it is very easy for you to get customers from social media platforms if you market your product and and services very well, there is also a very big number of potential customers that you can actually get from Google when your website is being searched through Google.

Social media sites are cool, but I think that websites are important as well since many people would rather go to a website than a social media page because it's easier to find information on the site.

Yes, you need to have a website for your business, even if you have popular social media pages.

Social media platforms can complement your online presence and help you reach a broader audience, a website remains an essential tool for establishing a strong online foundation, having control over your content and branding, and providing a more comprehensive and customized experience for your visitors.

A personal website and a social media account may both seems to serve the same purpose but are quite different in their importance. There are limits to the task you can perform on a social media account but you have all the control of your own website and you can whatever you like with it.

This is actually the reason why a lot of companies are now investing so much in such engine optimisation so that their website will always come out on top when people are searching for products that they are selling.
