Do you drink milk?

I don't drink a lot of milk. I think I might have undiagnosed lactose intolerance, so if I drink certain milk, I get stomach aches. I like chocolate milk as well, but drinking too much of that will hurt my stomach too.

I never used to have problems with milk, or I just didn't know growing up.

It actually depends on the kind of milk that you're drinking but generally I have known that adults digestive system doesn't metabolise milk like baby's do. This is the reason why I don't drink milk often. I can't remember the last time I drank only milk. It's only when I'm taking tea or coffee (rarely) that I make use of milk.

Well, the milk I drink is basically the one I mix with coffee, so I do not think I drink more than 200ml of milk a day, I think milk has many good things but also many bad things, I think that, for example, it has a high percentage of estrogens in its content, which for men especially does not do much good in their bodies.

I wouldn't say that I drink a lot of milk myself. I have been unable to tolerate the taste of milk in either warm drinks or just own it's own since I was around one year old and my mum moved me to cow milk. It would always make me feel unwell and sick due to the taste.

I can have milk in cereal and I can have dairy products but milk on its own or in a warm drink I can not stomach.

You're right about how estrogens isn't too good for men. Whenever I add too much milk in my tea, it usually gives me serious digestive problems. High level of estrogens in the body causes health problems like gynecomastia, erectile dysfunction and infertility.

Yes, you are absolutely right, estrogens are mainly female hormones, so in a male body it will only have negative effects if its content is high, as you say gynecomastia is a natural reaction to excess estrogens, also erectile dysfunction, hair loss due to inhibition of testosterone, increased fat and many more evils, that's why we should limit our milk consumption.

Yeah, that's very correct. I'm even thinking about cutting off using milk permanently from my diet. Honey is a better healthy alternative replacement for milk. Once you can get a natural honey, that's far more better than any milk you can find out there.

My fear is always with having running stomach after drinking milk. I have become careful with how much of it I take since I noticed that my stomach can't deal with it the way that I wanted. If I take it with coffee, I don't feel much of the stomach upset though.

I've taken up the habit of drinking milk with the oatmeal bars or pastries I eat for breakfast. As a female human being, I haven't suffered too much from this habit. However, excess estrogen isn't good for us either, as it makes period cramps worse.

Perhaps I should go back to eating cheese and meat for breakfast instead.

My sister always passes through 7 hells whenever she's having her period. The kind of cramps she gets is always very scary and I'm sure it's because of all the milk she take. I have told her times without number to drop milk drinking but she never hears it. Please do go back to eating cheese and meat for breakfast because it's going to make the cramps easier on you.

Same, I also drink cow milk every day before going to sleep. I don't like drinking milk as I just warm it and drink it without mixing anything. My parents say it's good for my health so I drink even if I don't like the taste.

She needs to go to the doctor. The amount of medical causes of primary dysmenorrhea is a long list, from endometriosis to fibroids to uterine cysts. Basically the doctor needs to order an ultrasound of the area and perform a diagnostic.

If other medical causes are ruled out, ironically the treatment for prostaglandin period cramps (the “normal” ones) is whole-body muscle training to expand muscle mass. Prostaglandins normally are used to build and maintain muscle fiber. Not having enough prostaglandins in circulation causes the brain to overproduce them at period time, causing an overdose. This overdose can lead to nausea, muscle spasms, fever and chills, passing out, and extreme pain, all of which I have experienced. It’s the Lorenzo’s Oil effect, only with prostaglandins instead of lipids.

I would recommend Convict Conditioning, which you should get at the Kindle price and read online (print is too expensive) for an good exercise plan for her (or just give it to her). The most important exercise (if you cannot even afford that) is leg raises, which act as a uterine massage in addition to strengthening the important ab muscles. The second most important is the pull-up breakdown. (I still can’t do a full pull up, but at least my arm strength looks impressive.) The third is doing bridge exercises.

Ever since I have started this training program, I’ve reduced my symptoms by about 90%. Other important things are making sure she has enough to eat (the body burns 300 more calories per day on a period) and trying to reduce stress. Stress can lead to prostaglandin overdose almost on its own - the last nightmare period I had where I passed out and gave myself a black eye was because of stress from my arrogant chess teacher. :p

Anyway, that was probably too much information, but I find that this information just isn’t out there - it took me 10 years of suffering to find it, and frankly this should be told to every 14-year-old female on the planet. Hope this helps your sister or anyone else who needs it.

You're freaking awesome @Jack-O-Lantern. It's not too much information at all and I'm very sure that she's going to appreciate it very well. You're right about two things though. This piece of valuable information isn't out there anywhere and all female old enough to start having their menses should be taught this early. Thank you very much.

I drink milk daily and enjoy milk products as of: white cheese, cottage (israeli cheese) and I also drink oatmeal milk. The reason I drink milk often is because it has a good amount of protein which I need for my exercise routine (to build muscle) and also because It's helping me to gain calories which I need in order to gain weight (I want to get bigger). So for me Milk is a very good product that I will keep using and it's also tasty ahaha.

You should work on getting bigger in the healthy way. Focus on building more of your muscle because that's good than just adding weight (fat) which isn't good for your health. Combine it with enough gym session and you're going to get riped soon.

I drink 1 glass of milk everyday after dinner. This habit I'm having since my childhood. What about you? Do you like drinking milk? Do you have it plain or add something to it? How long has it been since you last had milk, if you don't have anymore.

I don't drink only milk but I use it for making my tea and coffee. I can't drink either my tea or coffee without milk. I might add honey in my coffee but my milk will always be in it.

This is exactly the same way I have my own tea and coffee as well. I don't like using sugar in my tea or coffee. In fact, I don't like adding any sweetener in either my tea or coffee. Only milk is more than enough for me to use.

Honey is the only extra sweetener I'm using together with milk. Sugar is never put in my tea or coffee. We have a history of diabetes in my family, I don't eat much sugar to avoid spiking my sugar levels.
