When we think about pensions, we generally think about individuals who have been retired. This is because generally only those folks receive pensions. So, do only retired people receive pensions? What about others? I have never heard of any person receiving pensions before retirement, though.

Pension is a financial benefit that you can access only when you retire. In my home country, you can be eligible for a pension only when you are in government job and work for 20 years.
