This is something that is really hard to come by with the new internet world and everyone basically copying the same genre's of forums (especially promotion forums) so when it comes to creating a forum how do you make sure that your forum is different from all the others that exist? How do you make sure your forum won't just be another copy of another forum?

For me I try to change the design and make it unique by adding different titles and different ranks.

Definitely change the design have some kind of different content. Though, as many things, it depends on the niche of the project. Promotion forums are really hard to expand on diversity because everyone expects certain things from those types of forums. But, it's important to try to be diverse when creating new forums so that people will want to join and experience something new.

A unique look is good but there's nothing much that makes forums unique unless the staff are friendly and the community is full of great members
