Discord integration within your forums?

I know discord and forums don't really mix, but what if you combined your forum with your discord? I know Discord can be used on a browser, so I imagine with some code work, someone could add their discord server within their forum, so you could maybe utilize the Discord as a chat section and the forum for the main discussions.

Could something like this work?

I have seen some forums, especially gaming forums, allowing users to share their discord. I have also seen forums using Discord for chat feature on their forums. I have also seen forums using discord as a communication tool for their staff. However, I have never used it for my own forums.
