What is the difference between Illustrator and InDesign? While both are vector-based systems, InDesign focuses on creating a large cohesive layout while Illustrator focuses on individual graphics or one-page projects

Illustrator has cool features, i think one of the major advantage is that you can scale your images without affecting the resolution of the said image. InDesign is better because you can create multiple layouts across different pages and yes it is best for magazines, etc.

Illustrator is an editor for vector graphics and single-page documents. The classic use case would be creating a logo
InDesign is a document editor. The classic use case would be a magazine or a book.

Does this allow for a brief, yet easy understanding of the difference between the two softwares and their choice of use .?
This is the first time that I am hearing about either of these two that you have listed here however I think that if you are describing them to be so different that one deals with vectors and the other deals with documents then it will definitely be completely different.

As from Google search,

Use Illustrator to create artwork that will be used across different mediums, and for varied types of artwork including custom typography, infographics, and one-page design layouts like a form or a flyer.

InDesign is the best choice to design and publish multipage documents containing text, vector artwork, and images.

If you were using something like illustrator in order to try and create your own images it can be very expensive as well because as far as I know the software that you are referring to is not free to use.

Oh I see! I didn't know about it as I'm not good in graphic but if in this case I would better hire freelancers specially you can get cheaper from Fiverr and others.

Freelancers can be very cheap. Especially if it is someone that is new because they are still looking to prove themselves and make a name for themselves as well.

Yes and I use Fiverr as it have better results and have ability to change the work if I don't like it as they are very creatives and very supportive for me and yes most cheaper option too.

Speaking of ebooks there is a lot of people that seems to be getting involved in this as well and i think that the more that peopel are working from home the more they are creating ebooks to sell them.
