Did you know that you can actually force google to re-crawl your website pages?

Probably you did know. I too knew it. But the ways I were using tend to be a hit/miss shots.
I am talking about the xml-sitemap submission and using the bulk pinging services.

But recently I read a post in some blog saying that there is a way which is 100% hit and even google recommends this.
But for this, you will need to be google webmaster tools user.
Login to webmaster tools and select your website. There on the right side under Health you will see an option like Fetch as Google. Click on it and you will be able to see the option for submitting it into Google's index.
Even google is saying that they will crawl these links within a day.

I tried these few times in my webmaster tool. But didn't know the purpose till now, now i know it.
