When most webmasters create a community, they have a goal in mind and that's to be successful. What was your goal? Are you still working towards your "ultimate goal" Have you got any results so far, and are they as expected? A good example is my other project, which is called Bizdustry.com. I started the project in the year 2020 in November with the intention of being the biggest paid-to-post forum and we've achieved the second largest with one competitor above us in one year!

What about you?

Am currently running a blog and forum. My aim is to reach 1K users. Haven't reached my goal yet. But am happy to see members actively engaging in forum posts and discussions. Would achieve my goal soon.

Wow, Alexander, congratulations on your success at Bizdustry.com. More success to you. I have a plan to start my own forum and make it successful and popular. I am busy learning a few important things about it.

For me personally, I do have a goal in order to set up an ecommerce site where I can sell certain items and whilst i think that this is a pipeline dream right now given the time and the fact that i have started with other tasks as well, making time an issue, I think that my first goal is to rather try and set up something that generates me a profit. As I start to generate profit i will then work towards trying to expand and become bigger.

I have yet to reach a major goal. I have come close with a blog of mine. I wanted 5k views per month and I was closing in on that and then Google screwed me over. Since then it has dropped off so much. I am working on fixing that. In terms of forums, my one forum (the one that was sold) had a good 30 or 40 daily active members with over two million posts so I think that was goal worthy but I didn't actually set a goal for that.

May I ask what was the issue that you did have with google? I think that if you elaborate on this a bit then it could be very helpful to all of the other members on this forum that are looking to start a blog and reach these sort of goals because contingency plans can be implemented if need be.

Just like any other type of project, you are not necessarily going to experience all the type of growth and the results that you will want but it is important that you should meet the important ones.

They have just finished with their testnet and people who have completed my can now begin to send their tokens to the mainnet. This implies that it actually has a future.

There are some things that you are going to do in which the result is not going to come the way you expected because then you should always push hard because your time is going to come.

That is a very good one Alex, personally as a business owner who run a service outfit, one of my observation in our line of business of courier,is the inability of getting a device to tract customers item and getting their shedule on time, though we have been able to address the issue of schedule and time lag

My goals when starting a new community project are very simple to begin with. First I have development stage where the site is live, but is subject to regular changes and additions. At this stage I have no real advertising going on and generally only get a few passers by who find my site by accident and they hang around. After this stage I move into my Advertising stage. This is where I begin to actively work on promoting the site wherever I can. I am always looking for backlinks for SEO. At this stage I start to get more sign ups but still in drips. I still do not have many expectations at this stage, and that's where I am now with my latest project 'Community Promotion'.

You have to understand that building a successful community takes years! Not weeks or months. Years. If you are expecting some sort of mass influx of new members to a new community, then you will be very disappointed. Keep your expectations low, Your standards high and keep investing time into your community. If you stick it out, it WILL happen for you. Never give up.

Well, so how many visitors are you generating each month from your blog? I just hope that by now you probably have generated enough traffic. You can use multiple ad networks to make more money.

Personally I think the best way to expect a better result, is to set a goal for what you are doing and that will.make you not deviate from the track.

1kilo user is reacheable not so hard but maintain active members is harder because you could have 1 kilo users but none of them are active nowadays means it is just a number.

I think when users can get access to information especially when they always find what the are looking for in your blog, they would surely come back to your blog all the time, there by increasing traffic.

All blogs have like this feature of newsletter or latest blog posts during this weekend that let users that are interested to the blog and subscribed be back in the next week.

It is a really great thing to have a popup installed on your blog that could help you to gain subscribers at your blog or website. I remember signing up for such kind of offers during the mid 2000's

Personally it all depends on your definition of your target and I have some sort of target lines which I need to focus so I can judge my results and I am happy with my own performance.

As with any kind of project, you won't necessarily get all kinds of growth and results, but it's important to achieve something important.
