Designing Your Own Website Vs Hiring a Web Designer

If you are trying to launch a simple blog, I think you can do this yourself even if you do not have skills and knowledge (learn from youtube), but for ecommerce you need to hire a designer.

The choice is actually yours to make. As for me even if am not a professional, as long as i have the skills to do it my self am gonna surely try it out and do it as best as i can. Some might just decide to go for a professional tho feeling it would be easier

I am asking this question because 5 years ago, when I was ready to launch my first website, I had rudimentary web designing skills. I was faced with a dilemma whether to hire a pro or try myself. I wanted to hire a pro, I even talked with a couple of web designer, however, they were asking more than what I could afford. I had to do it myself

Five years on, I not only design my websites, but also make money by offering my web designing services.

What Of wix.com i think wix give out free template to create your own website, to me if there's such website that doesn't need to be created then i think its better than looking for someone to create one for you.

If you have the money to hire a web designer, then you can get one, but if not, you can try build it yourself. They are some self help videos online that can help you in building a professional website without coding.

If I want to start a simple website this is something I can do for myself without hiring an expert. I will only need an expert when I want to be with a website with a special effects and configuration. There are wide range of freelance platform to hire experts at a cheaper price and they are going to do quality job.

In as much I'll love to have web design skills, I think I'll prefer web management skills instead. There are a ton of web design services out there to choose from. For as little as $30, you'll get a standard, responsive one page website.
I'll hire someone so I can focus on running my business instead

If you plan on creting a simple blog or a website, you can do it yourself. If you do not have skills, you can try learning wordpress which will let you create any kind of website you want to create. However, if you are creating a complicated website, online store for instance, you better hire a designer because you do not want to lose customers over poor design

I don't think there is a big deal in Designing a website. With a do it yourself video on the internet, you can buy a Domain name with hosting and install a content manage system on it.

First of all to design your website by your self you need the knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript you could buy a course on udemy or if you're using Android you can download an app called sololearn and learn the basics then as someone rightly suggested, starting website design with WordPress isn't actually a bad idea

In the early years of the new millennium I was learning Dreamweaver for an easier way to create and maintain a website. But when our organization needed a website I did not have the courage to do it myself. Besides, it is hard work so I preferred to hire a designer. It is actually our boss who contracted a firm to do the design and maintenance. At least the site has a professional look.

Since I do not have any skills, it would be a better option to hire a designer. However, website designing in my place cost at least $300 which is a lot of money, I would love to learn and design my own website.

i have searching on how to build my own websites from the scratch and start from there but if I can't cope with the new websites , I will rather at least buy a ready made websites

If you use wordpress, you can easily build your own website. If you have never used wordpress, you can learn wordpress just in 30 minutes. Building a webste with wordpress does not cost much, you only pay for domain and hosting.

I would rather design my own websites so that I can keep doing it instead of someone doing it for you so that you keep it updated with your own work and i wouldn't do that because I might be making a website to make money but I won't make money by just spending it
