Designing Your Own Website Vs Hiring a Web Designer

With respect to some websites, you may not need to be a professional, the likes of wix, wordpress, blogger have made site construction and design easy as well as with great features to be subscribed to.

If I am really good at web designing ,like I am a professional in that line, I will choose to design the website myself than to hire a web designer I will understand what I really want and since its my stuff I will put my best into it.

I like that you decided to become a pro yourself. I think these days if you don't have the technical know how, it would be best to just hire someone or learn the work yourself.

It is always advisible to consider hiring a professional web designer especially when your web design skills are not exactly top-notch. You could design the website yourself if you want to improve your skills but the result will not be on par with a professional website and it could take a longer time

If I know how to design a site I will do it instead of hiring someone else to design for me,so that I will design it my own way and how I want the site to look like

I know developing a web is very expressive, but there is no need to involve in something that you cannot do,so I will hire someone to design it for me if I can't

if I am a professional in designing I think it will be great for me to design it myself , I will design it in a good way I wanted it to be unlike hirering someone to design it for me

Of cause that would be the obvious choice, it's like a professional graphic designer giving another graphic designer a contract to help him create a logo for his business. You will discover that they will never really do it to your taste, simply because you can also do it and you have ideas

I can seeing my own website because I'm not skilled in that expertise so I'll hire a website designer to develop it for me!

If I am very good in designing of websites then I see no reason I can't dedicate time to design my own website rather than employing someone who has the same skill with me and waste money for something I can do myself.

Professional are always professional if you're not full time into web design dont scatter it but give to who knows it best and just let the person no what picture view you are imagine that all

If you are an actual good web designer, then it is only natural that you should design your website by yourself. It is only when you can't do this by yourself that you should seek the services of a professional for the job

That's great. I don't have a personal website. But If you are good on website designing I don't see the reason of hirering someone to design the website.

Before you decide whether a website builder or web designer is right for you, you need to determine your needs and get clear on what you’re expecting your website to do for you. Consider all the different pages and functionality you might need.

Do you want customers to be able to purchase something? Then you’ll need a shop system. Do you want to create content on a regular basis? Then you’ll need blogging functionality. Do you want people to fill out a form or create a user profile? Or are they just visiting your website for information?

Another important question to ask yourself is: are you okay with having a more generic looking website or do you want something

I actually designed the website I own very well. I think that is a very good way to start my web designing journey. I plan to own a paid website in the nearest future which I also plan to design myself.

I have thought about getting a website designer because I am not able to design a professional website. I have used drag and drop features as well, but I was not satisfied at all.

I think you can go to Fiverr and hire a professional web developer for a very reasonable price. It is better for your website to look professional because it will retain more traffic.

If I had my way and could adequately handle web design, I would prefer to create my own website.
This is so that I can more easily create the website to my tastes and arrange everything exactly as I want it to.

If you are a professional web designer and developer it is obvious that you will design your own website, however, if you are not a professional designer/developer but have some designing/developing skills what would you do: hire a professional designer or design your website?

I am asking this question because 5 years ago, when I was ready to launch my first website, I had rudimentary web designing skills. I was faced with a dilemma whether to hire a pro or try myself. I wanted to hire a pro, I even talked with a couple of web designer, however, they were asking more than what I could afford. I had to do it myself

Five years on, I not only design my websites, but also make money by offering my web designing services.
I’ve always done it myself because I couldn’t afford hiring one. I’ve learned a lot doing it but I still don’t know as much as I could. My skills are limited so I still need to hire a freelancer to do certain things every so often. Usually graphics.

Content Management Systems make web designing very simple. You can easily build a blog, forum, or even online marketplace with Wordpress. There is no need to spend money on designer unless you are planning something big.
