Has anyone else seen Deadpool? I saw the film when it came out, and really enjoyed it, although I hadn't actually expected to. At that point, everyone hoped it would make back its budget, but it blew that idea away by Sunday and just seems to keep running.
I loved, the jokes, loved, the humour, and really loved the fact that they got the character right. Sly asides, definitely adult, and some great action scenes too. Ok, I do wish the producers hadn't had that last minute budget cut that made them drop an entire action scene, but what we got was really good. Dopinder and Blind Al for best supporting characters, because they just worked.
I'm just a bit worried that the studios will miss the point and now think that making everything R-rated is the magic solution, instead of making films truer to the source material and drawing in the existing fanbase.
