Anyone here already tried crowdfunding for a project like writing a book or launching an app. Due to lack of budget, I'm planning to try crowdfunding for an app that I would like to develop. I would love to hear your opinions about this. Thanks!

Yes sure, i once did crowd funding for a local non-profit project in my home. It was to fund for a tree planting exercise. If you can get many people to buy into the idea, it will be very easy to get people onboard and get a decent contribution towards the project.

I have never used crowdfunding for my online projects. However, I have see a lot of crowdfunding projects on Kickstarter for website and app development. Gofundme is ideal for personal crowdfunding but kickstarter is good for commercial projects. However, in order to get funded you need to meet your campaign goals.

I have not done this before not because I wouldn't want to try out, but simply because I don't always feel comfortable doing so. I want to save up before I can be able to start any project that I have in mind.

Crowdfunding is an excellent idea. You don’t have to invest everything you have. If your idea is fresh, and captivating, by all means, go ahead and try crowdfunding. There are many platforms that can help you turn your ideas into capital. They help you reach your target in no time.
